Camilla and I met through a community bootcamp sponsored by Medibank called Live Life Get Active, when she saw my offer of Family Mini session photoshoot she got contact to book her session asap. You can find the info on the offer here. I only have 5 of these left! Eep!
I have a few locations that I like to take different clients too depending on their own taste or requests and when discussing a location for this shoot we spoke about how Camilla + Dave like to go for bushwalks with their kiddos and I immediately knew which spot I would take them to.
One of the things I get asked a lot before a session is ‘what do I wear?! what do my kids wear?!’. Believe me, I totally get how stressful this part can be because what you wear can make a huge impact on how your photos turn out. As a result I have started to send out colour chart and ask you to pick which colour pallete you like best and choose your clothes around those colours. A lot of the time clients send me a quick picture of their outfits all laid out on the bed to double check that they will be ok. I LOVE when clients do this, it not only helps me prepare for you session but it also helps you to get excited about your shoot because the hardest part is over, now all you need to do is turn up and have fun!

Baby Announcement / Glitter session
Booking this session in went a little something like this:
Me: ‘Michelle! We need to do these sibling photos, and I have some new backdrops that I think would perfectly with your style’ *sends picture of new backdrops’
Michelle: ‘ That looks great, like a Hao Long Bay sunset! Also, we might have another reason for this shoot…I have some news’
Me: ‘omg, omg, omg…are you saying what I think you’re saying?!’
A few weeks ago Michelle and her girls Mia and Lily came into the studio to celebrate the announcement a new sibling on the way! This was such a fun and special session for me, to be a small part of documenting the big moments in family life are what make my ‘job’ so great.
Michelle and I met at mother’s group when our firstborn babies were just 6 weeks old, they turn 5 this November. Throughout our friendship I have photographed Mia’s cake smash, Michelle’s second pregnancy as well as Lily for her newborn photos. The photos from that session are proudly displayed on my studio walls and Michelle + Dans lounge room and now I can’t wait for this little bubs newborn session in my studio in Umina.

CODY IS ONE
Cody turned ONE in the blink of an eye! Cody’s mum was loving the idea of something gold to match his hat (see below) and his dad wanted something blue - enter me! Carly left the rest up to me and I created a happy medium between gold and blue whilst remaining true to Cody’s own individual style (let’s face it, this kid has flare). He might’ve made us work a little bit harder for those smiles, but it was worth it! It’s a good thing I’m quick with my camera 😉

RYDER IS ONE
Ryder and his parents came into the studio for his cake smash. When we were talking about colours, themes etc for Ryders Cake Smash, Christina told me she had the cutest baby shark outfit. I was so excited because it gave me a chance to use my ‘under the sea’ backdrop as well as another one that looked like ‘sand’, match made in heaven! I’ll share the images below as well as his milestone portraits.
omg, he LOVED the bath so much, all the bubbles went everywhere on the floor and ended up looking like sea foam 😂

Gorgeous Connor and his family came into my Umina Beach Studio for his Newborn Shoot. When Mum first arrived she warned me of bubs being unsettled and only wanting to be held- Let me tell you how common this is! You can’t really blame them, they’re still getting used to the world around them. Of course if your newborn only wants cuddles, I will oblige and give your bub ALL the cuddles…I mean, ever noticed how WARM they? BLISS! But in all honesty, I do not want you to stress when this happens. Some shoots need a bit more time and patience than the others and you can rest assured that I will always do what I can to get the shots we need.
Connor was obsessed with his siblings already
I just loved watching these guys with their new baby brothers. They were so loving and gentle and just loved showing him off.
Connor was just so cuddly and cosy in this handmade romper 💕
Connor, decided to give us a few big smiles during our family photos, he was just so happy to be with his family, it was so special to watch. Alana and Kai also loved it, it was like he was saying to them ‘I love you guys too’
