Sportrait Trading Cards
Frequently Asked Questions
Ginseea Photo • Umina Beach, Central Coast NSW
Everything you need to know about turning your little athlete into a proper collectable trading card — the kind they’ll want to hand out to every teammate, grandparent and slightly bewildered family friend. Can’t find your question below? Just get in touch and I’ll sort you out.
What exactly is a Sportrait trading card?
Sports Portrait = SPORTRAIT. It’s a real, professionally printed trading card — just like the ones you collected as a kid — but the star on the front is your child. I photograph them in their team kit at their game, design the card around their sport and colours, and add their name, jersey number etc. With a lighter colour option on the back. The result is a keepsake that looks the business and means a whole lot more than a stock-standard sticker.
Who are they for?
Best for the manager to book the team in. A minimum of 10 players is ideal for trading cards. A booking link and payment is all done online.
What sports do you do?
Rugby league, soccer, netball, AFL, basketball, rugby union, athletics, the possibilities are endless! Honestly, if it has a uniform and a bit of heart behind it, I can design a card for it. Not sure if yours fits? Ask away.
The Cards Themselves
What size are the cards and what do they feel like?
Each card is 63mm × 88mm / 2.5″ × 3.5″, the classic trading card size, printed on card stock — e.g. premium 350gsm with a cell glaze finish]. They’re sturdy, properly finished and built to survive being shown off, swapped and put into trading card folders.
What’s on the front and back?
The front features your child’s photo, name and team, designed in their club or sport colours. The back is a different design. Tell me what you’d love on there and we’ll make it happen.
How many cards come in a pack?
Packs come in a team pack and includes a team list card (coaches can be included). There is an option to purchase an addition 15 cards of just your player for them to share with other teams for $20 extra. A good rule of thumb: enough for the whole team, plus a generous stack for grandparents, aunties, the fridge, the pool room… you get the idea. Need a custom quantity? Just ask.
Can I have more than one photo or design?
Yes you get a front and back design.

How to Order
How do I get started?
It’s an easy few steps:
Get in touch here to lock in your spot or register your team.
I Come in for the photo session (or I’ll let you know about team shoot days for clubs).
Choose your design and details — colours, stats, the lot.
Approve your proof, and I’ll send the cards off to print.
Collect or receive your cards and watch your kid hand them out like a tiny celebrity.
Will I see the card before it’s printed?
Always. You’ll get a digital proof to check everything — spelling, the photo, all of it — before a single card goes to print. Nothing prints until you’re happy.
Turnaround & Delivery
How long does it take?
From your game day pics to approved proof to cards in your hands is roughly 3-4 weeks max. Team and bulk orders can take a touch longer depending on size, so if you’ve got a presentation day or end-of-season do in mind, get in early and we’ll plan backwards from your date.
How do I receive my cards?
Local pick up at Umina is free, I can also deliver the cards on a training night
What if there’s a mistake on my cards?
Because you approve a proof before printing, mix-ups are rare. But if something’s gone wrong on my end, I’ll make it right, if it is something that you have approved and incorrectly spelled it is at your cost.
